Ground Rents- Acquisition of Fee Simple & Intermediate Interests

North’s Property has been acquiring Fee Simple Interests since the legislation was introduced in 1967.

We have acted for both acquiring tenants and for freeholders. We assist our clients and their solicitors in establishing the right to acquire the freehold and then calculate the purchase price. We negotiate with the other party and use our long experience of the process to conclude the matter to best advantage.

We have particular expertise in acquiring interests where the freeholder is unknown. We prepare a detailed submission for the County Registrar to assist in establishing the right to acquire and in the determination of the purchase price.

We assist solicitors by drawing title history diagrams for complex cases and we compare old lease dimensions with modern measurements to help piece together complicated title histories.
